Company 3 has announced the return of Shane Harris, who joins the company as a senior colourist at its Los Angeles studio.
Harris originally spent 18 years with the business before pursuing other creative opportunities.
After a successful seven-plus years away, he has rejoined Company 3‘s award-winning team, bringing his “formidable expertise” back to the institution where he built the foundation of his career.
“Coming back to Company 3 feels like returning home,” said Harris.
“This is where my professional journey began, and the creative energy and technology here are unmatched.
“Having been mentored by Stefan Sonnenfeld early in my career gave me a unique perspective on the tireless work ethic and attention to detail needed to be successful in this industry. I’m incredibly excited to rejoin the team and collaborate with its exceptional talent.”
Throughout his career, Harris has collaborated closely with filmmakers, including Matt Reeves, Lisa Joy, Jonathan Nolan and, most recently, DJ Caruso.
His project highlights include the blockbuster films War for the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, as well as Star Wars: Rogue One.
His relationship with director/DP Paul Cameron ASC led to landing the HBO hit series Westworld, which catapulted his TV career.
His most recent TV titles include the Netflix series You; the adaptation of The Sandman; Shadow and Bone; the award-winning The Spiderwick Chronicles; and the long-running Superman & Lois.
“Shane is a great talent, not just for his incredible eye, but for his history with Company 3,” said Sonnenfeld, president and CEO.
“To welcome him back after all these years is a testament to the culture we’ve built and his lasting relationship with our team. His talent is invaluable, and we couldn’t be happier to have him home.”
Tom Poole, senior colourist and chief creative officer, echoed the sentiment: “Shane brings a level of experience and artistry that is truly rare. His return instantly strengthens our senior team here in LA, and I know his unique approach will be highly sought after by filmmakers looking to elevate their projects.
“We are thrilled to have him working alongside us once again.”
