British Society of Cinematographers announces Cinematography in a Short Film nominees

The British Society of Cinematographers has announced the shortlists for its Cinematography in a Short Film competition.

Nominees have been revealed across the BSC Club, Postgraduate Student and Undergraduate Student categories.

BSC Club

  • Flock, Linda Wu
  • Gesualdo, Yiannis Manolopoulos
  • Twain, Chris Clarke

This marks the first time Linda Wu and Chris Clarke have been nominated, and the second nod for Yiannis Manolopoulos.

Postgraduate Student

  • El Corazón, Christopher Hudson, National Film and Television School
  • Tethered, Emmy Ren, National Film and Television School
  • Watch Me Burn, Jonathon Le Grice, National Film and Television School

This is the first nomination for Emmy Ren and Jonathon Le Grice and the second nomination for Christopher Hudson.

Undergraduate Student

  • Alma, Jack Palladino Hebditch, University of Portsmouth
  • Dogbone, Theo Hughes, University of Salford
  • James Pearson-Howes: Sitting Still, Trey Joél Robinson, University of the Arts London

Each of these filmmakers receive their first nominations. 

The films will be screened at the BSC Short Film Evening on Wednesday 12 November, where the winners will be announced.
