British Society of Cinematographers announces 2026 BSC Awards nominees

The British Society of Cinematographers has announced the nominations for its 70th annual awards.

Nominees have been revealed across Feature Film, Television Drama (International/Streaming), Television Drama (UK Terrestrial) and Music Video.

Among those up for Feature Film are Autumn Durald Arkapaw ASC, whose work on Sinners was recently celebrated at the AFI Awards, and Seamus McGarvey ASC BSC ISC, who scooped Best Cinematography at the British Independent Film Awards for Die My Love.

In Television Drama (International/Streaming), British DP Matthew Lewis follows up his Emmy win for Adolescence with a BSC Awards nod, while Suzie Lavelle BSC ISC is on the list for Severance episode “Goodbye, Mrs. Selvig”. 

Meanwhile, the likes of Ollie Downey BSC (Reunion) and Neus Ollé BSC AEC (What It Feels Like for a Girl) are nominated for Television Drama (UK Terrestrial), and Rina Yang BSC and Rui Jiang Ong are on the line-up for Music Video.

Christopher Ross BSC, president of the British Society of Cinematographers, said: “I’d like to extend my congratulations to all the cinematographers who have been nominated this year. 

“2025 represented an extraordinary year for artistry in our craft, and the nominations announced today reflect not only the range of projects but also how international cinematography has become. I look forward to toasting you all at our awards in February.”
