After last year’s success, the BSC Equity and Inclusion Committee will reopen the BSC Expo Talent Bar featuring two high-impact initiatives.
The now-familiar Experience Hub matches expert advisors with those seeking advice, connecting people from all career stages with experienced practitioners for a simple 25-minute one-to-one conversation.
These sought-after meet-ups are held in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere so you can feel comfortable asking any questions you might have.
The advisory sessions are optimised for those interested in, or currently working in, the camera, lighting, grip and DIT departments.
Advance booking is essential, as only a very limited number of walk-up slots will be available on each day.
The Info Hub is where to find information and support, be it career progression, training or mental and financial wellbeing.
It is described as the place to go for free guidance, featuring a rotating roster of initiatives, individuals and advisors dedicated to supporting our industry in the same informal space as the Experience Hub.
No need to book, drop by any time.
“I was moved by how meaningful my 1:1 at the BSC Talent Bar was, I loved it. It was exactly the inspiration I needed at the time following a difficult year of pursuing work,” said one attendee.
“As a young cinematographer I’ve never had such helpful guidance before and still can’t believe who I was matched with for support.”
Further information is available on the British Society of Cinematographers website.
