Adobe has announced that it is delivering “AI-powered innovations” across Adobe Firefly, Creative Cloud, Express and GenStudio that “transform ideation, creation, production and delivery”.

It added that the move aims to “support every creator throughout their creative process” – helping them to “work faster and take on more opportunities by expanding creative possibilities and removing time-consuming tasks and creative barriers”.

Firefly now enables end-to-end video production with studio-quality audio and video tools, including:

  • Generate Soundtrack (public beta), an AI music generator powered by Adobe’s commercially safe Firefly Audio Model that creates “fully licensed, studio-quality instrumental tracks” – delivering multiple original track variations in seconds that sync and time precisely with creators’ footage
  • Generate Speech (public beta), a text-to-speech tool for creating “crystal clear voice-overs in multiple languages with pacing and emphasis for natural, expressive delivery”
  • Firefly video editor (private beta), an intuitive web-based multitrack timeline editor to generate, organise, trim and sequence clips – with tools to add voiceovers, soundtracks and titles
  • Prompt to Edit, powered by Firefly Image Model 5, which empowers creators to describe how they want to edit an image in their own words
  • Firefly Boards, a collaborative, AI-powered ideation surface where creators can now “move even faster from inspiration to concept with new features that offer greater control and creative flexibility” – including the new Rotate Object capabilities to convert 2D images into 3D

New tools in the Creative Cloud apps, including Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere Pro, “bring creative pros unprecedented creative freedom, control and precision – and can save hours of time”:

  • Generative Fill in Photoshop, with partner models including Google Gemini 2.5 flash and Black Forest Labs FLUX.1 Kontext, empowers pros to make “precise, instructional edits to add, remove or modify content with simple prompts, while preserving a scene’s coherence and visual harmony”
  • AI Object Mask in Premiere Pro (public beta) helps video pros identify and isolate people and object in video frames, “making the process of colour grading, blurring and adding special effects to a moving background quicker and easier”
  • Assisted Culling (public beta) in Lightroom helps photographers quickly identify their best images in large collections of photos and filter for different focus, angles and degrees of sharpness

Adobe has also collated “top AI models from across the industry, all in one place – so creators can harness their full potential to bring their visions to life”.

This includes:

  • Firefly Image Model 5 (public beta), its “most advanced image generation and editing model yet, capable of native 4MP resolution without upscaling, and excelling at photorealistic details and prompt-based editing”
  • Access to leading partner models from Google, OpenAI, Runway, ElevenLabs and Topaz Labs
  • Firefly Custom Models (private beta), so creators can generate assets with visual consistency in their own, unique style

It has also introduced conversational experiences powered by agentic AI across its apps – “transforming the creative process with AI assistants that let anyone create using their own words and refine results using Adobe’s world-class tools”:

  • AI Assistant in Express (public beta) “lets anyone move from concept to creation in minutes”
  • AI Assistant in Photoshop web (private beta) empowers pros to “scale their work and free up time by instructing an agent to help on series of repetitive tasks while always maintaining creative control”
  • Project Moonlight in Firefly (private beta) coordinates AI Assistants across Adobe apps and draws insights from a creator’s social channels to help them brainstorm new ideas and generate content faster
  • A preview of conversational interfaces in third-party apps like ChatGPT for tools like Adobe Express
