Nanlite has announced the PavoTube II 6CP – the “classic LED tube light refined”.
Described as more powerful, longer lasting and smarter, the new PavoTube II 6CP is an enhanced version of the PavoTube II 6C.
The 10-inch LED tube keeps the same compact, ergonomic design, but delivers significant improvements – giving creators even more flexibility to light on the go.
Nanlite explained: “At the core of the PavoTube II 6CP is Nanlite’s proprietary Nebula C4 colour light engine, offering higher brightness and greater lighting controls.
“It is 10% brighter than the original PavoTube II 6C, delivering 661 lux at 0.5m (5600K). Significantly, it has a wider colour temperature range of 2,400K-12,000K, plus expanded green/magenta adjustment of ±150 for professional level tuning to camera sensors or other lights.
“The light provides professional-grade performance with impressive colour accuracy: CRI/TLCI averages 95/95, and TM-30 Rf/Rg averages 92/100.”
The PavoTube II 6CP adds a new Gel mode featuring 460 LEE and Rosco colour filters, on top of the existing CCT, HSI and Effect modes.
Users can also unlock eight group effects after grouping fixtures in the Nanlink App 2.0, in addition to the 15 built-in effects on the light itself.
The PavoTube II 6CP is said to be ultra-portable, measuring less than a foot long and weighing just 267g, making it perfect for handheld use. Its polygonal design and built-in magnets allow stable placement on magnetic surfaces, with included iron plates enabling attachment to other surfaces.
With 1/4″-20 threads at both ends and a T12 tube size, the fixture is compatible with a wide range of accessories for flexible lighting set-ups.
A new-generation user interface combines an improved button layout and redesigned menu for more intuitive operation. The fixture can also be controlled via the Nanlink App 2.0. Thanks to the built-in NFC function, users can quickly connect the fixture to the app by tapping their compatible phone or tablet on the fixture’s NFC tag.
With the upgraded 3200mAh built-in battery, the PavoTube II 6CP offers about 78 minutes at full power – a 30% longer runtime than the PavoTube II 6C.
The fixture can be powered or charged via the USB-C port using a DC 5V/2A adapter or PD adapter (PD output defaults to 5V; fast charging is not supported).
It can also be powered via an optional battery grip with an NP-F550 battery (7.4V/2600mAh), which extends runtime by approximately two hours.
The PavoTube II C series includes three sizes. Users can pick the right size for their lighting needs or combine different tubes to build creative multi-light set-ups.
The addition of the PavoTube II 6CP brings a higher-performance option to the 25cm size, giving greater flexibility for portable lighting and scenarios.
