
The Big Light Social is coming to London later this week, offering the opportunity to get hands-on with the latest LED virtual production technology in an interactive workshop setting.
Presented by SHL & LCA in association with London AV & Emmyland, the event provides a free virtual production and image-based lighting workshop at London Film Studios.

In a press release, event organisers said: “Big Light Social isn’t just about seeing the latest kit – it’s about using it.”
Over two days, London Film Studios will offer:
On the A Stage
- Image-Based Lighting with Dan Walters and LiveFX from Assimilate – master the art of lighting with real environments
On the B Stage
- FrameSync demos – see how to sync high-speed lighting effects to camera
On the C Stage
- Rosco Day-to-Night Backdrop – flip the scene from day to night yourself
On The Mezzanine
- Traditional “outside-in” set-ups – get hands-on with classic location lighting techniques
Plus, there will be masterclasses, gear try-outs, free food and drink, and a chance to meet fellow creatives.
The event takes place on Friday 3 October, from 3pm to late, and Saturday 4 October, from 10am-3pm.
